The Little Things || Weekly Musings

I have been very grateful for my electric blanket these last few nights. Not a night has gone by where I haven't climbed into bed freezing and been instantly warmed up by it. It really is the little things in life that mean the most.

I have continued to get out of the house more recently, and it looks like it may stay that way for a little while. On Saturday I hung out with friends in the city, I'm going out for dinner on Thursday, and then Daniel and I are going to visit his best friend this weekend.

Number one on the list of Things That Have Been Annoying Me this week is that I found a gorgeous pastel pink ottoman that I really want to buy for my lounge room, but I can't remember where I saw it! I found a similar, darker version on the American Target website (as well as plenty of other gorgeous pink furniture pieces that Australian Target doesn't have!), but that's not really much help to me.

 Why you should question everything.

I've been trying to put a lot more effort into my appearance, and I genuinely think my confidence has improved a small amount because of it. Just planning my outfits in advance can make me feel so much better about myself - especially when people see me and say things like, "well, look at you!" I know that being a good person is much more important than looks, but I try my hardest every single day to be a good person, so I think I deserve to be happy with the way I look too.

Facebook is taking action to combat revenge porn, which is absolutely great to see.

I really love Erika's series of illustrations that represent the places and time she has felt "overwhelmed, almost like the feeling of drowning". I resonate with many of them, and I really just want to tell more people about them. The pieces are titled bed, vanity, call, knife, thank you, hide, change, friend, picture and woman. They're all incredibly beautiful and accompanied by meaningful words - not to mention that Erika is also a really lovely human being!

Until next time,
Indya xx
